Some warts and all practice session recordings where they went slightly wrong sometime which is quite funny, some concert sessions with screaming girls, and some serious top quality recordings. Anthology 1 is an essential item and a must have for Beatles collectors and fans alike, and it has a quaintness that I recall from the 60s when I was very young, and the good spirit and humour of John and the others comes across very nicely. It's a double CD and there is a great booklet inside 46 pages long plus cover that shows some fab photos and a short description of each song. Second hand was my purchase, cost me a fiver off eBay, but it's 25 quid in HMV on the high street, and the booklet alone was worth a fiver.
I shall treasure my used Anthology One FOREVER! I also bought Anthology Two and Three later on, but they're for me to review another day. But just to make any readers aware that there are THREE Beatles Anthologys to collect if they didn't already know. Thanks for reading my review. And RIP John and George.
